The Daily Record Names impactHR’s Kelly Mitchell One of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” for 2023

The Daily Record’s award honors Mitchell and select Maryland women for achievement in their professions, community leadership and mentoring

March 30, 2023, Columbia, MD – Kelly Mitchell, Founder and Principal of impactHR, LLC, a full-service human resources management and consulting firm, has been named one of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” for 2023 by the Maryland Daily Record.

The Maryland Daily Record launched “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” in 1996 to recognize outstanding achievements by women demonstrated through professional accomplishments, community leadership and mentoring. Nominees were asked to complete an application outlining their educational and career history, professional and community involvement, corporate and nonprofit board memberships and mentoring experience.

A panel of business professionals and previous “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” honorees from throughout the state reviewed the final applications and selected this year’s honorees.

“I’m very thankful to be selected to the Maryland Daily Record’s 2023 listing of ‘Maryland’s Top 100 Women,’” said Mitchell. “More than anything, I’m truly grateful to all those who have supported me through the years, especially my family and my company’s clients, partners, friends and my impactHR team. It’s a tremendous honor to be included among this wonderful group of women leaders who do so much to help our state and our communities thrive.”

The “Maryland’s Top 100 Women for 2023” awards celebration will be held at The Lyric Baltimore, May 8.

Mitchell’s leadership in business and in her community has earned her numerous honors and awards. Last October, Mitchell received a 2022 Torch Award for Ethics by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Greater Maryland – the BBB’s most prestigious business award. impactHR, under Mitchell’s leadership, has long maintained an A+ rated accreditation with the BBB of Greater Maryland.

In addition, the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC), last May 2022, named Mitchell and impactHR an awardee for its 2022 Jewels of Asia Gala. The AACC’s award recognized Mitchell ‘s efforts leading impactHR’s commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion resulting in notable success, partnerships, and positive collaboration.

Mitchell was also named one of “Maryland’s Top 100 Women” in 2019 by the Maryland Daily Record. She also received a “2018 Mid-Atlantic Women’s Leadership Award” winner by CEO Report and a 2017 “Top 100 MBE Winner” by the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council.

Mitchell is an HR professional with more than 25 years of experience, providing expertise and services to an array of organizations. Her certified skills and experience include assessment of the HR infrastructure and the establishment or enhancement of the HR function. Mitchell holds a BS in Psychology from Towson University and a MS in Human Resources Management from Widener University. Under Mitchell’s leadership, impactHR continues its sustained growth path, providing a suite of strategic HR solutions to companies and organizations in the Baltimore-Washington corridor, the mid-Atlantic region and across the United States.
