Press Release: impactHR’s Kelly Mitchell Selected for “2017 Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises” Award

October 19, 2017, Columbia, MDimpactHR, LLC, a full-service human resources management and consulting firm, today announced its Principal, Kelly Mitchell, has been named a “2017 Top 100 MBE® winner” by the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC).

The annual CRMSDC award recognizes owners of minority business enterprises (MBE) in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia who have demonstrated exceptional entrepreneurial accomplishments, a high level of professionalism and have made substantial contributions to their community.

The Top 100 MBE Awards® were launched in 2007 to recognize and celebrate the creativity and innovation of regional MBEs who are role models and an inspiration to their communities. The Top 100 MBE Awards® will be presented at the CRMSDC’s 36th Annual Leaders and Legends Awards Ceremony, November 2, at the MGM National Harbor.

The CRMSDC also is celebrating its 45th anniversary as a non-profit economic development organization supporting growth in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia through programs and services that help companies enhance the diversity and innovation of their supply chains. CRMSDC connects corporate and government members to well-established, certified minority-owned business enterprises. CRMSDC, established in 1972 with headquarters in Silver Spring, MD, is one of 23 regional affiliates of the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Mitchell is a human resources professional with more than 25 years of experience providing expertise and services to an array of organizations. Her certified skills and experience include assessment of the HR infrastructure and the establishment or enhancement of the HR function.

Mitchell also is an expert in the implementation of best practices in the areas of recruitment/staffing, employee retention, compensation, benefits and employee relations; development and implementation of HR information management systems; creation of effective performance management strategies; and development and facilitation of various organizational development programs. She holds a BS in Psychology from Towson University and a MS in Human Resources Management from Widener University.
