Powell, formerly Senior HR Consultant, Client Services, will focus in her new role on accelerating impactHR’s continued growth via streamlined company operations and client satisfaction

March 30, 2023, Columbia, MD – In a move reflective of impactHR’s continued rapid growth, Denise Powell, an HR professional with over 25 years of experience in HR management, has been promoted to the new position of Director, Client Services Operations. Powell has worked with impactHR, a full-service human resources management and consulting firm, as Senior HR Consultant, Client Services, since 2019.

In her new role, Powell will be responsible for building strong client relationships to continue driving the highest levels of quality HR and business strategy services. She also will lead impactHR’s expert team of senior HR consultants to ensure fulfillment of client objectives and satisfaction while working to expand new project opportunities with impactHR’s growing client base.

In her professional career, Powell has long specialized in the HR areas of employee performance management, learning and development, employee engagement and HR compliance. She has held numerous HR operations roles as a practitioner and consultant, with a focus on building and re-engineering HR functions to be efficient and effective.

Her prior experiences include the development and execution of recruitment and talent management strategies, development and training, performance management strategies, compliance issues and implementation of automated information systems.

In addition, Powell has worked in the education, financial and nonprofit industry sectors. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Change Management Professional (CCMP) and Lean Six Sigma Professional (CSSWB). She is also a Certified Predictive Index Analyst in behavioral assessments and workforce analytics. Denise is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She also is a member of Frederick County (MD) SHRM.
