Federal Contractors: OFCCP Releases New Voluntary Self-Identification Disability Form

The US Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has released a streamlined and revised version of its Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form (CC-305).

Key note: Federal contractors and subcontractors have until August 4, 2020 to implement the new form into their applicant and employee systems and processes.

ThE OFCCP’s new form aims to help federal contractors and subcontractors (with contracts at or above $50,000 and 50 employees) to work toward having at least 7% of their workforces be individuals with disabilities. This is an OFCCP regulation as part of Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act.

The OFCCP states their updated disabilities form will “increase the response rate of applicants and employees who choose to voluntarily self-identify their disability status. Doing so will aid contractors in developing programs to increase the utilization of people with disabilities.”
